Experiencing Stockholm from a kayak is many tourists pinnacle after a Stockholm visit. The water provides a quieter and more idyllic perspective of a city with high tempo.
Långholmen kajak offer tourists and locals the opportunity to do a guided kayak tour in central Stockholm, paddling in two-man kayaks. Our experienced kayak guide tells about attractions and stories about Stockholm along the tour. No previous experience in canoeing is required.
Short trip: Around Långholmen and Reimersholme
Our shorter family-friendly trip is 6 km, for beginners who want to get the most out of their experience. The trip takes about 2 hours. We start from Tantolunden and then take us around the old prison island Långholmen, with views of the Old Town, City Hall and Norrmälarstrand. After that Reimersholme is rounded with the former liquor and wool mill. Even children under the age of 12 are welcome in parent company.
This tour takes place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 10-12. Price 490 kr / pers.
Long trip: Around Kungsholmen
Kungsholmen around 10 km is the beginner's journey for those who are looking for a longer and slightly more varied paddling in about 3.5 hours. A little more attention is paid to paddling techniques and more shorter stops with stories of sights and historical anecdotes. The trip starts from Tantolunden and takes us between small islands like Reimersholme, Lilla Essingen and Kungsholmen's western tip, further into the lush Karlberg canal with Karlberg's castle as a scenery. We then round the City Hall and cross Riddarfjärden to slide through the beautiful Pålsund Canal on the inside of the old prison island Långholmen.
Please note that the age limit for this trip is 12 years. This tour takes place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 13.00-16.30. Price 690 kr / pers.
