The Eight - Around Reimersholme and Långholmen

The Eight

The tour starts from our dock where you paddle out under Långholmsbron and out into the lush and idyllic Pålsundskanalen. You paddle by Långholmens Båtklubb and further past the yachts at Göta Segelsällskap.
When you pass Långholmen's western tip, you are in Riddarfjärden and will see Lilla and Stora Essingen and Kungsholmen. You continue along Långholmen's north side and after another 5 minutes Långholmsbadet and its sandy beach can be found on your right. Here it is perfectly fine to paddle to the beach if you want to take a break for a swim, or perhaps enjoy your brought along picnic.

When the journey continues you paddle out under one of Stockholm's largest bridges - Västerbron. After a moment, a beautiful panoramic view extends of the heart of Stockholm: City Hall, Old Town and Slussen. A given "Kodak moment" for most people.

When Långholmens eastern part has passed with houseboats and other vessels, you will enjoy perhaps the nicest part of this ride - gliding in Pålsundskanalen between beautiful wooden boats from as early as the 1910s.

You pass Långholmen kayak's pier and paddle after passing Långholmsbron to the left under Reimersholmsbron. On the right side you will pass Örnsbergs kajaksällskap, then follow the shore on your right and after about 20-30 minutes you are back in Pålsundskanalen and at Långholmen kayak's pier, most likely healthy and full of a lovely nature experience!
