Inflatable seat
An inflatable single kayak is generally wider than a regular sea kayak. The sides are also much larger, so it is important to have an inflatable seat with a little more height to get as good and natural a paddle stroke as possible. If you sit on the bottom of the kayak, you have to hold the paddle higher and will quickly get tired in your shoulders and back.

2 large fins
An inflatable single kayak glides a lot on the water surface as it is relatively flat underneath. This naturally affects the directional stability quite a bit. That is why it is very important to have two large fins underneath. If the kayak only has one fin, it will be much harder to paddle.

Splash guards
An inflatable single kayak is more open than a regular sea kayak, so both the paddler and all the gear are more exposed to getting wet. That is why it is important to have splash guards both front and back that keep out much of the water that would otherwise get into the kayak.

Drain plug
An inflatable kayak is easy to unpack and pack up, but getting all the water out when packing up can be very difficult. That is why it is good to have a drain plug that makes this easier. If you pack up a kayak that is too wet and leave it for a long time, it can make the kayak musty.

Longer paddle
Given the width of the kayak and the thickness of the sides, you need a paddle that is at least 230 cm long to get a comfortable and natural paddle stroke.

Durable
Havspaddeln Frej is made of a hard-wearing PVC material that can withstand a lot of wear. The material is exactly the same as in the SUP boards we use in our rental business and that we trust completely. The bow and stern of the kayak are fitted with hard plastic, so it will not be damaged even if you happen to paddle into jetties, rocks or similar. You should be careful with the fins under the kayak, but they are a larger and more durable version that can also take a lot.

Storage space
An inflatable single kayak has no hatches, but this model has "pockets" front and back instead. We have made them extra large to protect your gear as well as possible, but also to avoid getting too much water into the kayak. There is plenty of space to bring gear for overnight trips or long day trips. On top of the pockets there are also elastic straps where you can attach other gear, such as dry bags. There is also a small mesh pocket right by the seat for smaller items such as a mobile phone, sunglasses or a water bottle that you want to reach easily.

Comfortable paddling
This inflatable single kayak is very comfortable to paddle, mostly thanks to the inflatable seat. The kayak has been developed over a long time to create an inflatable kayak that does not feel clumsy and that gives the best possible paddle stroke. A higher seat lifts you up a little and gives a more natural paddle stroke. Since this type of kayak is wider than usual and the large sides put you further from the water, it is very important that the kayak has an inflatable seat and a longer paddle.

Good carry handles
The kayak is equipped with 4 carry handles, which makes it easy to carry the kayak alone or together with someone else.
