Our beginner's course begins on land where our instructor goes over safety, paddling technique and boarding and disembarking at the jetty and beach. Once we are seated in the kayaks, we start by getting to know the kayak and how we paddle forward, backward and turn. Then we do some technique exercises before paddling at a leisurely pace around Reimersholme and Långholmen. After the paddle trip, you have the opportunity to try to capsize the kayak and learn how to get into the kayak from the water (companion rescue), under the supervision of our instructor. We always adjust the degree of difficulty of the course according to the level of the course participants.

All rentals start at Långholmen next to the Pålsund Canal. The nearest address is Alstaviksvägen 3, parking is available at Långholmen camping. The nearest subway is Hornstull and if you take a bus, you can go to Högalidsgatan (bus 4) or Bergsund beach (bus 54 & 66).
