Shipping and Delivery

Delivery Times

Our shipments are handled by DHL, with exceptions for our inflatable kayaks, which are sometimes shipped via FedEx (depending on the destination in Sweden). Kayaks and fiberglass SUPs are shipped with DHL Home Delivery. Accessories and inflatable SUPs are generally sent to a DHL Service Point, but depending on the destination in Sweden, SUPs may also be delivered to your home.

We dispatch all in-stock items within 1-2 business days from our warehouse. The delivery time then depends on DHL or FedEx.

- Delivery time to a DHL Service Point is typically 1-3 business days.
- Delivery time with DHL Home Delivery takes 2-4 days as they need an extra day to arrange delivery with the customer.
- Delivery time with FedEx is usually 1-3 days.

At Långholmen Kajak, we will assist you in every way possible to speed up your delivery, but we cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by the shipping company. Call us if you need help tracking your delivery or have questions, and we’ll assist you.

Once your order leaves us, you will receive an email with a tracking number that you can use to track the package on the shipping company's website or in a shipping app.

Products that are not in stock may have different delivery times, which are indicated in the respective product descriptions.

Home Delivery with DHL

Our kayaks and fiberglass SUPs are delivered to the address specified in your order. We at Långholmen Kajak try to coordinate the delivery date as best as we can to suit your preferences. When your kayak arrives at DHL’s local terminal, you will be notified and can choose a date and time for delivery. DHL delivers Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and you will usually have 2-3 options to choose from. Note – for certain postcodes, DHL only delivers on specific days of the week. If you want to know which days DHL delivers to your postcode, you can contact us or check their website, using postcode 12630 as the sender.

Delivery Notification from DHL

It is crucial to book your delivery within 4 days of the package arriving at the terminal. If DHL cannot reach you or attempts delivery when you are not home, the package will be stored at their terminal. If left for more than 4 days, a penalty fee will be incurred, which may vary depending on the terminal. After 7 days, the package will be returned to us, resulting in an additional fee of 199 SEK plus a return shipping cost, calculated based on the size and destination of the delivery. These costs will be deducted from your refund or charged if you want the product sent again.

Inspecting Your Delivery from DHL

When DHL delivers your kayak/SUP, it is important to inspect it thoroughly before accepting the delivery. Any transport damage must be photographed and documented. It is also crucial that the driver takes pictures and carefully documents any damage before you sign for the delivery.

After the driver has documented the goods, you should accept the delivery, carefully document any damage yourself, and report the claim to us at Långholmen Kajak within 5 days so we can assist you further.

If the delivery of a damaged kayak is accepted without documentation from the driver, Långholmen Kajak disclaims all responsibility for the damage.

It is important to unpack the kayak immediately after receipt and check for hidden transport damage. Transport damage can occur even if the packaging is intact.

Delivery to DHL Service Point

Shipments sent via DHL Service Point will be delivered to a nearby service location. This applies to shipments of accessories and inflatable SUPs. Unclaimed packages are returned from the service point to Långholmen Kajak after 7 days, incurring a fee from DHL of 99 SEK plus a return shipping cost, calculated based on size and destination. These costs will be deducted from your refund or charged if you want the product sent again.

Delivery of Inflatable Kayaks

Shipments of inflatable kayaks are sent with DHL or FedEx. Regardless of the carrier, you will be contacted about the shipment, depending on the destination in the country. If the courier cannot reach you, the shipment will be returned to Långholmen Kajak, incurring a fee from DHL of 99 SEK plus a return shipping cost, calculated based on size and destination. These costs will be deducted from your refund or charged if you want the product sent again.

Claims

A written claim must be sent to our email address, info@langholmenkajak.se within 3 days of receiving the delivery.

To have your claim approved, it must include:
- Your name or order number.
- Description of the damage.
- Photos with and without packaging.

We will then handle the case with DHL or FedEx and get back to you as soon as possible with information on how you will be assisted.
