When you mount the fin, the board needs to be inflated. Place the board with the underside facing up. At the rear end of the board there is a rail where the fin should be mounted. The rounded side of the fin should point forward when sitting on the board. Insert the fin into the rail and pull it all the way in. Secure the fin by pressing the pin on the fin into the hole in the rail.

Be careful not to lay the board on the ground with the fin facing down once it is fitted, as it can easily be damaged. Place the board in the water before standing on it with the fin mounted.

You fasten the foot-leash with one end in the handle at the back of the board and the other end around your one ankle. Foot-leash is used to keep the board from floating away from you if you fall into the water.

To remove the air from the board, you need to unscrew the valve cover. Start by gently pressing the stick down into the valve a little bit for about 10 seconds so that the greatest pressure is relieved. Then push the pin all the way down so that the valve is stuck in the open position and let the air blow out until the board is empty.

Then roll up the board. Start rolling at the end that the valve is NOT in. Carefully roll at the end where the valve and fin rail are located so as not to damage these parts.

Feel free to rinse your SUP with water from time to time to keep it fresh. If you paddle in salt water, it is good to rinse the board after each use. It minimizes wear and tear on the board. Make sure the board is dry before rolling it up. Store it in the included bag to reduce the risk of mold.

You may need to tighten the valve from time to time. You do this with the help of a valve key that is in the included repair kit. To tighten the valve, insert the wrench into the valve and tighten until you feel the valve is tight.

If your SUP needs to be repaired against the odds, there is cloth and glue in the included repair kit. First deflate the board before wiping the damaged surface. Then apply the supplied glue to the tear and let it dry. Repeat at least 5 times or until the tear feels sealed.

NOTE - make sure the board is in deep enough water so the fin is not damaged when you step on.

If you are a beginner, you can start by paddling while standing on your knees. Kneel just behind the center of the board (roughly at the center handle of the board) with the paddle in hand and try to find your balance.

When you feel you have found your balance, you can try standing up on your feet. Stand shoulder-width apart with your feet just behind the center point with your knees slightly bent. To keep your balance easier, you can try to keep a low center of gravity.

In order to get the most efficient paddling possible, put the paddle down as far forward as you can. As you become more confident on the board, you can take longer and longer strokes. Take 2 paddle strokes on one side and then switch to the other side to go straight ahead. Remember to activate the trunk during paddling to get more power in your strokes.

To turn your SUP board, you paddle forward on only one of the sides. If you only paddle on the right side, you turn to the left and vice versa. You can also try placing more weight on one of the sides to turn that way.

If you want to slow down or stop, paddle backwards or put the paddle in the water.

When you are out on the water, you have a duty to yield to larger boats. As far as possible, try to paddle according to the traffic on the right. A good basic position is to always be close to shore to avoid other large boats on the water. It also makes it easier for you to get ashore if something unexpected happens during the trip.

If you are going to paddle in slightly messier water, we recommend that you use a foot-leash. If you fall off, the board will not float away from you. However, if there are two of you using the same board, you should not have a foot-leash. There is then a risk that you will become entangled in each other.

Always be aware of your surroundings and avoid paddling near shallow rocks and jetties. which could risk damaging you or the board,

It is always safest if there are more of you out on the water, so try as much as possible not to paddle alone. This is especially important if it is very windy or there are big waves. Such weather conditions increase the risk of accidents when SUP paddling.
