Thanks to its high-pressure construction and streamlined design, it offers a paddling experience comparable to a hard-shell kayak – with the advantage of being easy to transport and store.
The unique design lets you paddle open, as in a sit-on-top kayak, or use a spray skirt to protect yourself in tougher conditions. This makes Balder an excellent choice for both family adventures and more demanding long-distance trips.
Maximum comfort and flexibility
Ergonomic seat – The padded seat gives optimal comfort, with a slightly raised position for a better paddle stroke and a stiff backrest for extra support. The seat is adjustable to suit different paddlers and has two cup holders and a storage pocket behind the backrest.
Easy drainage – A drain plug is located in the middle of the cockpit, making it easy to empty the kayak of water after use. The area is designed to double as storage space, easily reached from the seat.
Spacious storage – Even though Balder is an inflatable kayak, there is plenty of room for gear. Storage options are behind the seat, in a mesh pocket in the cockpit and in the space by the drain plug. The kayak also has deck lines at the front and rear for securing dry bags and other equipment.

Longer paddle for optimal ergonomics – As Balder is slightly wider than a traditional sea kayak, it comes with a 230 cm paddle. The extra length ensures you reach the water easily and get a more natural, comfortable paddling motion.

Extremely hard-wearing material – Havspaddeln Balder is made of robust PVC, the same high-quality material we use for our rental SUPs. This makes the kayak very resistant to wear and external stress. The bow and stern are also reinforced to withstand knocks against jetties and rocks.
Durable fins – The kayak's fins are larger than standard and built to take a lot, but should be handled with some care during storage and transport.
