Eskimå – a versatile sea kayak

Havspaddeln Eskimå is one of the most popular kayaks in our range, largely thanks to its combination of stability and easy-to-manoeuvre design. It is perfect for both shorter outings and overnight trips, whether you paddle along the archipelago or on a calm lake. The kayak is easy to get up to speed and has a generously sized cockpit that makes it comfortable for many different body types.

Smooth steering
In the cockpit you will find foot pedals that are easily adjusted to your leg length. The pedals steer the kayak's rudder, letting you counter wind and waves with minimal effort. A pull cord on the outside of the kayak also makes it easy to raise or lower the rudder while paddling.

Tough 3-layer material
Eskimå is made of 3-layer polyethylene, a robust construction that makes it torsionally rigid and tough. This means you can pull the kayak up onto rocks or gravel without worrying about cracks. As the material needs minimal maintenance, you get more time for paddling and less time for repairs.

Plenty of storage space
With two larger hatches and a smaller, easily accessible hatch behind the cockpit, there is room for a sleeping bag, spare clothes and food. Small items such as a map, water bottle or snacks fit neatly in the mesh pocket in front of the cockpit or in the smaller hatch with a screw lid.

Comfortable paddling
The seat is soft and has a backrest adjustable in height, depth and sideways, so you can adapt it to your body for maximum comfort. The thigh braces in the cockpit give you good contact with the kayak, which both adds stability and helps your paddling technique.

Easy to handle on land
Eskimå has sturdy carrying handles at the bow and stern, making it easy to carry the kayak with a friend. Paddling alone? Then a kayak trolley is a great accessory for rolling the kayak to and from the water, especially over longer distances.
