- Inflatable seat
Generally speaking, an inflatable kayak is wider than a regular kayak. The water is further away than usual, which can affect your paddling. That is why it is very important to have high inflatable seats that lift you up a little and give you a more natural paddle stroke. If you sit on the bottom of the kayak, there is a risk of scraping the sides of the kayak. It also makes paddling more ergonomic, so you can keep going for longer distances.
- 2 large fins
An inflatable kayak sits high on the water as it is relatively flat underneath. This is a major reason why directional stability is often poorer on inflatable double kayaks. To avoid this, Loke has 2 large fins that give very good directional stability and make the kayak easier to paddle.
- Spray decks
As an inflatable kayak is open, there is a risk of water getting into the kayak and your gear getting wet. Loke therefore has spray decks at both the rear and front to keep out water that would otherwise get into the kayak.
- Drain plug
An inflatable double kayak is easy to store, unpack and pack away, but it can be hard to get all the water out before packing. That is why it is important that the kayak has a drain plug that makes it easy to get all the water out.
- Longer paddle
Given the width of the kayak and the thickness of its sides, you need a paddle at least 230 cm long for a comfortable and natural paddle stroke.
- Tough
Havspaddeln Loke is made of a very hard-wearing PVC material. Our SUPs are made of the same material, and they are used extensively in our rental business. The nose of this inflatable double kayak is made of hard plastic, so you can paddle into jetties, rocks or similar without worrying about damaging the kayak. You should be careful with the fins under the kayak, but they are a larger and more durable variant that can also take a lot.
- Storage space
An inflatable kayak has no hatches, but this model has "pockets" at the front and rear instead. We have made these extra large to protect your gear as well as possible, but also to avoid getting too much water into the kayak. There is plenty of room for gear for overnight stays or long day trips. On top of the pockets there are also elastic straps where you can secure other gear, such as dry bags. There is also a small mesh pocket right by the seat for smaller items you want within easy reach, such as a mobile phone, sunglasses or a water bottle.
- Comfortable paddling
This inflatable kayak is very comfortable to paddle, mainly thanks to the inflatable seat. The kayak was developed over a long time to create an inflatable kayak that does not feel clumsy and gives the best possible paddle stroke. A higher seat lifts you up a little, giving a more natural stroke. As this type of kayak is wider than usual and the large sides put you further from the water, it is very important that the kayak has an inflatable seat and a longer paddle.
- Good carrying handles
The kayak has 4 carrying handles, making it easy to carry alone or with someone else.
