Around Årstaviken
Length: approx. 1.5 h / 6000 m
Difficulty: 2/5 (good beginner's tour)
Paddling into Årstaviken is a nice and slightly shorter trip that goes past boat clubs, swimming areas and Årsta islets. This tour takes 2 hours and is suitable for those who want to paddle at a leisurely pace in a relatively protected environment.
The tour starts from our jetty where you paddle out under Långholmsbron and then continue left into the leafy passage at Reimersholmsbron. You pass Hornstull Strand on your left after which you pass Liljeholmsbron.
At this point, you've reached the Floating Restaurant Loop where the daredevil stops (on the way out or on the way home) and tries to get on its floating pontoons. Food and drink can be enjoyed here while the kayaks are strapped to the wooden deck.
The paddling tour continues past Tantolunden with its beach bathing and our sister rental Tanto SUP and kayak . You then pass a number of boat clubs, bridges and leafy Årsta islets. When you have reached Skanstullsbron and Hammarbyslussen, it is time to turn around and paddle back. It is suggested that you paddle back along the western side of Årstaviken, in order to get the most out of this trip. The best place to stop for a coffee break is on Årsta holmar.
